As a teacher...
At the beginning was the enchantment I felt when discovering art, many years ago, as a young girl.
There is a place, in each of us, longing for the time when we were artist without knowing it. In a way it is to go back in time when creativity was a natural state of being that I became an art teacher.
We were born creators, some of us had the chance to nurture their creativity, some of us were lead to let is die out. Creativity can blossom in all aspects of our life, from being a renowned architect to redesigning our house. The creator is free because his creativity cannot be taken away from him: It lays in his very vision of life. One can be imprisoned into his environment, one can redefine it...
Life as art. Art as life.
The Bauhaus school inspires my philosophy of teaching. Seventy years ago, a group of avant-garde teachers and artists thought about integrating fine arts to applied arts. The human creativity supported by the power of industry infusing art in every area of life: architecture, graphic design, industrial design, fashion design, performing arts and fine arts. This was an important step to bring design to the masses and to reflect on how man produces his environment.
As a teacher, I create projects for students to learn about the past, to reflect on the present and act for the future. It is for them to acknowledge other artists’ visions to create their own.
